Our Story
Anthony and Jonathan met the modern way: by swiping right. Fun fact: they spoke briefly in 2018 but picked up the conversation again in 2019, which led to a first date in Washington, DC. Their first date was jam-packed with activities and what was supposed to be a brunch and a movie (Avengers: End Game, which is quite a commitment of time for a first date) turned into an all-day affair. They connected about everything from politics, musicals, to their mutual love of Game of Thrones. By the second date, they fell into a rhythm naturally with Jonathan making his prized filet recipe and Anthony debating that Cersei was always the superior character over Daenerys.
Their first year was spent making memories from trips to New York City, Provincetown, and Nashville to frequent trips to Hilton Head. They quickly started a life together in DC and had fun every step of the way.
Anthony and Jonathan got engaged in August of 2021 in Hilton Head and it had some unique challenges. Think: assumed home invasion and an Uber driver from hell. Jonathan’s best friend Kate helped set the stage and after an evening out, Anthony proposed with “Golden Hour” by Kacey Musgraves playing in the background.
We’re so excited for you to join as we say “I do” in a place that has a special meaning to us and to so many of our friends and family.

The Destination
Since we are from different parts of the country and have lived in various places throughout our relationship, we thought a destination wedding in one of our favorite places would be the perfect backdrop for our wedding.
Hilton Head Island is a magical place. There’s something marvelously different about the relaxed, warm and welcoming vibe found on the island. Not only is it where we’ve spent many vacations, but it’s where we became engaged. We hope you enjoy the beauty and spirit of this majestic island with us.
